Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:

- Electronic signature: When you choose to share your plans with service providers, we collect your electronic signature or initials as consent.
- Accessibility preferences: We use localStorage (not cookies) to save accessibility settings like text size and contrast preferences on your device. This data never leaves your browser.

How we use your information
- To provide and personalize our funeral planning tools for you.
- To save your plans so you can return and continue later.
- To connect you with funeral homes, crematories, florists, and other service providers — only when you explicitly consent by signing the provider sharing authorization.
- To improve our website and services.
- To communicate with you about your account or plans, if necessary.
When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
We share your information only in these circumstances:
- With your explicit consent: When you sign the provider sharing authorization, we share your funeral plans with the specific providers you choose — such as funeral homes, crematories, cemeteries, and florists. You control which providers receive your information, and you can revoke this consent at any time.
- Witnessed cremation partners: If you use our witnessed cremation certification service, limited information is shared with our independent witness representatives to perform the verification.
- Burial at sea partners: If you choose to work with one of our burial at sea charter partners, we share relevant planning details to coordinate the ceremony.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
